THE FUTURE-BUILDING OFFICE

Your vision is one of your business's most valuable - and least protected - assets.

The Visionry gives that asset its own office inside your business.

Dedicated space to vision again.
Regular time away from the core business and its demands to reset and focus on its future.
Field trips and experiences that spark new thinking and ideas. Market intelligence to inform it.
Hands-on leadership support to develop and launch what you decide to build.
Mutual NDA · Personally led by DeAnna McIntosh

The business you built is tangible proof of the value of your vision.

You saw a gap in the market, an unmet need, or a better way forward that other people could not see as clearly as you did.
Then you built it.
As the business grew, understandably, your attention shifted toward the team, the customers, the investors, and all the countless decisions required to keep everything in the business moving.

Not to mention, having a life outside of your work to tend to also.
It's not that your vision disappeared. It just started to only receive whatever time and energy was left after everything else had taken what it from you.
Bold ideas became sticky notes to return to later.
Deeper, industry-shifting questions were reduced to bullet points in presentation decks.
Visioning was squeezed into annual retreats, rushed brainstorm sessions, and the rare quiet moment between everything else going on.

Your vision is the powerful force that will usher the business into its next chapter.
So protecting your vision as an asset is most critical.

This means giving your vision dedicated space to develop, and establishing an ongoing innovation practice that turns that vision into new value for your business.
The future of your business needs the same intentionality and vision that brought it here.

introducing the future-building office

Your vision deserves its own office.

The Future-Building Office gives this continous visioning and innovation work a dedicated function inside your business.
The office is an extension of your team, exclusively dedicated to building its future.
Today: all the ideas and opportunities that come up in your day-to-day are saved for "later" whenever there's time to explore.
With your future-building office in place: we add them to your opportunities pipeline and help determine if you should explore, test, build or postpone. If it moves forward, we take full ownership of leading the build.

I’m DeAnna McIntosh, founder of The Visionry, and I personally lead your Future-Building Office.
I work beside you to explore possibilities, make connections and decide what ideas deserve to be explored.

Between our conversations, the office keeps working.

The Visionry gathers intelligence, researches opportunities, develops concepts and leads agreed priorities toward launch - while helping the existing business evolve to support them.

You gain a thinking partner plus the capacity to act on what we discover together.

What your future-building office does for you and your business:

Protects space for your vision to expand
We have ongoing, dedicated time to dream, question and explore what the business could become. We give room for an idea to actually develop before it has to be backed by a revenue forecast and cascaded to your team.
Sparks creativity and new neural connections
We'll go on Founder field trips, opt for walk-and-talk sessions versus virtual zooms sometimes), cultural experiences, explore unexpected environments, or attend conversations selected for the creative thinking and fresh perspective they can open up. We find new opportunities for the business by doing and exploring new things.
Gathers future intelligence
We conduct research across markets, customers, culture and technology - and interpret the information specifically for your business. News and newsletters are great, but you don't always have time to sift through and translate the tons of information (albeit it, also a lot of noise) into actionable strategy for the business.
Develops an opportunities pipeline
We manage a working collection of your ideas and opportunities, supported by research, concepts and next steps. Together, and continuously, we determine which to explore, test, build or set aside.  Innovation and evolution are our KPIs.
Leads the build
We are an extension of your team - we don't only manage your opportunities pipeline, we build them too. We own the strategy, hands-on execution, and coordination of the people and resources needed to launch selected ideas. With your office in place, agreed priorities have a scope, an owner and a path forward. Your business will have two parallels - the projection and building of the future (us), and the smooth operations of today (your team).
Evolves the business
As we're building the future of the business, we are also recommending and leading changes to existing offers, customer experiences, operations and ways of working so the business today will evolve to support what it is becoming.

A Visual of Your Future-Building Office

The Future-Building Office gives the future of the business a constant place to be explored, questioned, informed, shaped, and developed while your team remains focused on delivering what the business requires today.

And it gives you a dedicated space to tap back into that vision that only you have, and that the business needs to move into its next chapter.
a different kind of partner

Some of our best work may not happen sitting behind a desk.

We might take a walk with a question neither of us has answered yet.

Visit a place doing something remarkable in an unrelated industry. Or you might get a text from me: “I think we should go to this. There’s something here for your business.”

The purpose is to give your vision room to expand - and honestly, also bring some fun, wonder and fulfillment back into building something you care about.

If this sounds like where you are right now, I'd love to talk.
get started

We start with a Vision Immersion Day.

A dedicated day to step out of running the business and reconnect with the vision behind its future.
Before the day
We explore your current business, the questions on your mind and the opportunities you want room to consider.
During the day
Focused visioning, strategic conversation and a curated creative experience help us see fresh possibilities for your business.
What you leave with
A documented direction, opportunities worth developing and clear next steps - including how a Future-Building Office could support the work ahead.
Your business began with something you could see.
Give yourself the space to see what it could become.
P.S. Tech Happens. If the booking calendar isn’t working, email me directly at deanna@thevisionry.com with 2–3 times that work for you, and I'll send over a calendar invite.
meet your future-building partner

Led by DeAnna McIntosh.

My work is built from both sides of my experience: more than a decade as a founder and small business owner and a 14-year corporate career leading strategy, innovation, and execution across Fortune 500 companies.

But my experience has never lived neatly inside one function.
I’ve worked across merchandising, sourcing, product development, innovation, operations, creative direction, event production, entrepreneurship, and strategic growth.

That breadth is exactly what allows me to do this work.
I understand the relentless pressure of being the sole person responsible for the vision, the decisions, the people, the customer experience, the details, and the follow-through.

I also understand the complexity of moving work through larger systems, aligning cross-functional teams around priorities, and turn strong ideas into something structured enough to understand, support, and execute.

My gift is being able to see the fullness of your bold, big-picture vision and translate that into strategy, structure and a tangible execution plan.

I bring the creative eye from my background in fashion and retail, and the analytical rigor from managing multi-billion-dollar merchandise departments and managing my own P&L. That mix allows me to have the vision and foresight to see both what is possible and the granular detail of what it will actually take to make it work.

When we work together, the focus is on the business: what you are building, where it is going, what needs to move forward, and what it will take to bring the right opportunities into reality.

But what is different about my partnership, is that I am also paying attention to what the work is asking of you as the person leading it.

I’m a mom of two, a wife, a daughter, a founder, and a person with a full life outside of my work. I do not believe meaningful business growth should require us to ignore who we are as humans behind our work.

That belief is why I take a human-first approach to our partnership.

We’re building the business with the person leading it in mind. Your capacity, energy and the way you want to lead matters. And what you want the business to make possible for you in this next phase matters, too.

Human-first means our work has room for real life, whether that is a child popping in to say hi on a live call, a decision that needs more space than we expected, or a conversation about what would make the work more sustainable for you, not just more productive for the business.

Growth, innovation, and execution do not happen outside of people. They happen through people: through your capacity, your team’s clarity, your customers’ needs, your communication, your decisions, and the realities around building something impactful.

The goal of this partnership isn't just to help the business move forward.

It is to help make room for the kind of leadership, structure, and support that allows you to be more present inside the work and outside of it.

I've Built What Didn't Exist Yet

man's hand is in his pocket
I’ve asked “What if?” a lot in my career. Here are a few of the places it led me.

$117M Business

Created the first-to-market No-Iron Linen category.
Turned an untapped opportunity inside a stagnant $117M business into a new product category and revenue stream that continues generating sales 14+ years later.

10% GROWTH

Rebuilt the strategy and operations of a $60M business.
Restructured how the business planned, prioritized, and executed its work, increasing alignment and productivity across the business while driving 10% sales growth.

3 CITIES. 1 YEAR.

Created and scaled a bridal show across three markets.
Built the concept from the ground up, leading the strategy, partnerships, marketing, experience, and production before expanding it across three cities within one year.

A FORTUNE 500 FIRST

Challenged “business as usual” to build what hadn’t been done before.
Created and launched the company’s first model for bringing local small businesses into its stores, connecting an entrepreneurial idea across the people, processes, and systems of a Fortune 500 organization to make it executable.

In Their Words

Chizi U.
Tech Founder
“DeAnna's refining of our pitch deck and developing of our ability to speak clearly on the impact of our solution helped us raise $120K shortly afterwards. The depth and breadth of her knowledge shocked us a few times, and to back it up she was able to provide targeted connections to individuals within her network. Our institutional investors made a pointed remark on her involvement with us; it strengthened their investment rationale in our company.”
Kali G.
Wellness Retail Business Owner
“DeAnna is a genius at creating and sharing the MOST useful documents that have completely re-defined how I manage the business day-to-day and make all decisions. In working with DeAnna, we have not only set up a solid foundation for operating our business, but we have seen double-digit sales growth and most importantly, as the founder and CEO, I now have that Billion-dollar brand mindset when making any and all decisions related to the business.”
Stephanie H.
Career Development Coach
“Where can I start? DeAnna and her team are incredible.  They are responsive, kind, knowledgeable. They worked with me through my indecision. This was my first re-brand, and at many points, I didn't know what I wanted to how to communicate it.  This may sound strange, but I believe they saw my brand clearer than I did. I am beyond happy with my website and brand guide, but even more so with the experience. Truly grateful I invested!”

The immersion day opens the possibilities.
The office develops them.

If we continue working together after the Vision Immersion Day, The Visionry establishes the Future-Building Office around your business’s priorities we aligned on that day.
We agree on the opportunities to develop, the work to lead, your involvement and the people needed to execute.
That becomes the office’s initial scope and working rhythm.

You have routine, protected time to think with me. Between those conversations, the office gathers intelligence, researches opportunities, develops concepts and advances agreed builds.

At any time, you can see what is being explored, what decisions are needed and what is moving toward launch.

For each initiative, we define what progress and value should look like - whether that is a new revenue stream, a stronger customer experience, a tested concept or a more effective way for the business to operate.

Your vision has somewhere to grow. It also has a dedicated team for the work behind it.

FAQ

A few things you may be wondering:
Do I need a clear idea before the Vision Immersion Day?
No, definitely not. You can arrive with a specific opportunity, several unfinished ideas or a sense that the business is ready for something that you haven’t sorted through yet. The day gives us room to explore and develop that thinking together.
Do you work with specific industries?
I’m industry-flexible by design. My experience spans retail, merchandising, sourcing, product development, innovation, creative direction, event production, entrepreneurship, operations, and strategic growth. What I bring isn’t expertise in one narrow industry. It’s the ability to understand how a business works, see connections across functions, ask the right questions quickly, and help translate the bigger vision into something the business can actually move on.
What is the difference between the Immersion Day and the Future-building Office?
The Vision Immersion Day gives you dedicated time to explore your vision, make new connections and identify directions worth developing. You leave with a recap of the day, the opportunities we uncovered and clear next steps.

The Future-Building Office provides ongoing capacity to develop and act on that direction. I bring market intelligence, creative exploration, opportunity development and hands-on leadership to the agreed work—and keep it moving between our conversations.
Do you advise, execute, or both?
Both. I explore and develop ideas with you, then lead agreed priorities toward implementation. That can include research, concept development, practical testing, hands-on building and coordination of your team or outside specialists.

Before each build begins, we agree on its scope, responsibilities and required resources.
Is the Office a physical space?
The Office is a dedicated business function that The Visionry establishes and runs. It is not a physical office. The experience can include in-person time, field trips and work coordinated with your existing team. I am based in Atlanta, GA but travel internationally for our work with Clients.
Will I work directly with you?
Yes. I personally lead your Future-Building Office and work beside you as your visioning and strategic thinking partner. I lead the agreed research, development and execution, bringing in relevant specialists when the work calls for them.
Can you work with my existing team?
Yes. Your team brings valuable expertise, customer insight and knowledge of how the business operates. I work alongside them, giving future-focused initiatives dedicated attention and leadership.Together, we clarify who owns each part of the work, where collaboration is needed and which decisions require your involvement.

What have you wanted uninterrupted time to think about?

The idea you keep returning to. The opportunity you see emerging. What you want this business, and your life within it,  to become.

Let’s take a day to explore it.
